چکیده
The light field display technology can reconstruct the virtual three-dimensional scene with high precision, providing users a highly immersive viewing experience without any auxiliary equipment. However, one of main challenges faced by this is narrow view (FOV). In paper, we present novel autostereoscopic utilizing Composite Lenticular Lens Array (CLLa) and Saddle (SLa). By time-division quadruplexing, distinct contents are assigned to different pairs zones. optical model scheme simulated ZEMAX. FOV expanded horizontally 100 degrees crosstalk level reduced 0.8%. It worth noting that both zones share same set pixels, which theoretically results in spatial resolution times higher than traditional schemes. Furthermore, has been partially verified 7.9-inch TFT-LCD screen, experimental demonstrate an effective expansion angle more 16.2% compared

Viewing zone of an autostereoscopic display with a directional backlight using a convex lens array
When a directional backlight to each eye alternates synchronously with the alternation of left-eye and right-eye images on the display panel, the viewer can see a stereoscopic image without wearing special goggles. One way to realize a directional backlight is to place a convex lens array in front of dot matrix light sources to generate collimated light. To implement this method, however, defoc...
متن کاملNumerical investigation on the viewing angle of a lenticular three-dimensional display with a triplet lens array.
We investigate the viewing angle enhancement of a lenticular three-dimensional (3D) display with a triplet lens array. The theoretical limitations of the viewing angle and view number of the lenticular 3D display with the triplet lens array are analyzed numerically. For this, the genetic-algorithm-based design method of the triplet lens is developed. We show that a lenticular 3D display with vi...

We realize homogenous luminance of the directional backlight for the time-division multiplexing autostereoscopic display using a convex lens array with the elemental lenses whose phase of placement in each row differs from one another. The validity of the proposed optical design is confirmed by a prototype system. key words: autostereoscopic display, homogeneous brightness, liner Fresnel lens a...
متن کاملGRIN lens and lens array fabrication with diffusion-driven photopolymer.
We introduce a new method to make gradient index (GRIN) lenses and GRIN lens arrays by exposing diffusion-driven photopolymers using a low-power CW laser. By changing the size and power of the laser beam and the exposure time the index profile of the GRIN lens can be controlled. Combined with the self-developing nature of the photopolymer, this enables rapid "on-demand" printing of arbitrary mi...
